Put All Of Your Trust In The Lord
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:8
As we face new seasons of our lives there are going to be many challenges that we are going to face. Despite the determination to have better days and weeks there are going to be some challenges and obstacles that we are going to have to face, but we also have to remember that there will be some challenges on the road to make us better.
Control Your Tongue
"With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God." James 3:9 (ESV)
Big things can come in small packages. It is a small chip in the midst of a computer that allows it to have to speed and memory. It is a small battery in a remote control that controls bigger devices; it is many times something small that allows something bigger to operate. There are times we overlook things because they are so small, but without that small item we could not accomplish what we needed.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
There are a variety of reasons that we get up every day and make our way to work. For some it is because they love what they do, and they could not imagine doing anything else. For some it is the reward that they get in just helping someone along the way. However, for some getting up and going to work is a chore all by it self, because they do not particularly like their job, but they go because of the paycheck.
Thank God For His Grace
"WHAT SHALL we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God's grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?" Romans 6:1-2 (Amplified)
God’s grace is such a powerful force in our lives. Grace is the unmerited unearned favor of God. God gives us grace because He chooses to give it to us, not because we deserved or earned it. There is nothing we have done or could do to earn or warrant the awesome grace of God, and we should always be mindful that we do not deserve it.
