Jesus encountered the Pharisee's who were concerned about what people thought about, and not concerned about the condition of their heart with God. The Scripture reminds us that Jesus said to them, you blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean. I encourage you today to make sure you take care of the matters of your heart first before trying to make sure you look good on the outside. Take time to make sure your relationship with God is in a good place, and that you are doing all that you can do to be all that God wants you to be. When you put on fake smiles and act like everything is alright even though on the inside you feel like you are dying, you have just cleaned the outside of the cup and plate. If you take the time to take care of the inside, it will show on the outside. You have to work to cover up the pain of your past on the outside, but when you are good on the inside, there is no need to cover up, because the glow of the power of God working on your life will show on the outside. Do not be Pharisaic and just concern yourself with what people see, be more concerned about what God sees, because He sees your heart. I am working on making sure my relationship and heart is right with God every day, and because I do it shows on the outside. Since I am making my heart clean first, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Lord help me to make sure my heart is in the right place with you. Help me to be more concerned about what you see than what anyone else sees. Thank you for loving me from the inside out. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
