Prepared For The Future

Our children are our future, and it is important that we sow into the things that they will need for them to be great. There are some who will say that children are different now than when we grew up, and while that is true in some sense, their experiences will be different from ours, but we still need to ensure that they have a sure foundation. That sure foundation is God. No matter what they face in their future, if they have God as their foundation, they will be able to make it through anything. Many of us did not like having to go to Church or Sunday School or the myriad of other things we had to do in Church growing up, but it gave us a sure foundation, and no matter what happens in life we were able to seek God. The Scripture reminds us to, train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. I encourage you today to make sure we give our next generation a sure foundation. They may not like it now, but it will benefit them in the future. Teach our children to pray and to lean on God through thick and thin and they will be able to stand through the storms of life, because they will have learned how to lean and depend on God. Since I will continue to help train up our next generation to have a sure foundation in God, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Lord be with our young people and remind them that you are always there for them. Let the lessons of their youth propel them to great things in their future. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
