Do The Right Thing
If we are honest with ourselves it is not always easy to do the right thing. There are times when we struggle between doing what we know is right, and doing what we want to do. We know that we should help someone because it is the right thing to do, but when we think about something they may have done to us or said about us, we struggle with doing what is right. Doing the right thing is right all of the time, and no matter how we may wrestle with ourselves about doing the right thing, in the end we should do what The Lord would have us do.
The Scripture reminds us that, to do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. I encourage you today to remember that The Lord wants you to do what is right and just and when you do, it is better to Him than any sacrifice that you could offer to The Lord. What is righteous and just is what we want The Lord to do for us, and we also must be His ambassadors and do what is righteous and just for others. There will be those you encounter that will not make it easy for you to do what is right and just, but you cannot allow someone’s disposition to dictate what you know The Lord wants you to do. Do the right thing in The Lord, and you will see His blessings flowing in your life. No matter how difficult it may be I am going to do what is right and just in the sight of The Lord, because I know it is what He wants from my life.
Since I am determined to do the right thing in The Lord I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Lord help me to do what is right and just in your sight. Do not allow me to lose focus on what you have for me. In Jesus name Amen.
