Christian Education is a lifelong endeavor. Greater Centennial AME Zion Church
offers a variety of enriching programs for the spiritual and personal growth
of youth and adults.
Children’s Bible Study
Discover the way to be kid friendly, teacher friendly and still teach Bible
stories and important religious concepts in depth so that our faith comes
alive!
Children’s Church
Worship Service totally dedicated to reaching and involving the children ages
4 to 12 years old.
Imani Cultural Academy
An after school care program designed to spiritually inspire, educationally
motivate and culturally enrich our children. Conducted throughout the regular
school year.
The Nursery Ministry
Cares for our children infants – 4 years olds during Worship Services.
Boy Scouts Of America
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910,
and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for
boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities
of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
Cub Scouts, boys in 1st – 5th grades (or 7 – 10 years of age); Boy Scouts, boys 11 – 17 years of age.
Girl Scouts Of America
Girl Scouts of the USA is committed to helping today's girls become tomorrow's
leaders. For 90 years, the Girl Scout program has delivered quality experiences
for girls locally, nationally, and internationally. The Girl Scout program
is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of participating
girls. It provides girls with a wide variety of opportunities. The program
encourages increased skill building and responsibility, and also promotes
the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills. All program
activities are age-appropriate and based on The Four Program Goals, as well
as on the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
There are five age levels in Girl Scouting: Daisy Girl Scouts, ages 5 to6; Brownie Girl Scouts, ages 6 to 8; Junior Girl Scouts, ages 8 to 11; Cadets Girl Scouts, ages 11to 14; and Senior Girl Scouts, ages 14 to 17.
Youth for Christ
In partnership with the body of Christ, we want to see every young person
have the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of
Jesus Christ.
The mission of Youth for Christ is to participate in the body of Christ in responsible evangelism of youth, presenting them with the person, work and teachings of Christ and discipline.
