Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
Matthew 23:23

Crisis Intervention
Our goal is to provide the church community with competent and confidential assistance during times of crisis.

Prison Restoration Ministry
Addresses the spiritual needs of men, women and children released from incarceration and their families. They are directed in the Bible’s divine directives, prayer and encouraged through Christian guidance to restore their lives and relationships. The Christmas Angel Tree Program provides gifts for children whose parent(s) are incarcerated

Senior’s Ministry
Offers seniors opportunities for fun, fellowship, spiritual growth, and service. Senior members are involved in all kinds of wonderful ministries and service projects that share the Good News of God's Love in Jesus Christ.

Harambee (Let’s Pull Together) Ministry
Provides information, referrals and assistance to help meet the diverse needs of the congregation.

Health Ministry
The Greater Centennial AME Zion Church Health Ministry is comprised of medical professionals and health service providers from throughout the church. They provide information promoting awareness to sensitive health issues (breast cancer, diabetes, nutrition, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.). Members of the Health Ministry react to health emergencies within the congregation with a quick, expert calmness and Christian compassion to soothe the anxieties and suffering of those stricken. Their efficient response has resulted in those suddenly taken ill to receive the care and medical service needed.

Recovery Ministry
Historically the most common way for local churches to be involved in recovery ministry is for the church to allow AA or NA or some other organization to meet in church facilities. The Recovery Ministry provides a way to bridge the recovery world with the Christian world by developing a distinctively Christian support group. The Recovery Ministry is a 'safe place' and a wonderful resource for accountability, encouragement and support.

Silent Workers Ministry
The mission of the Silent Workers is to provide programs and activities that support our Christian family and church community.

Wedding Advisory Ministry
The ritual of Holy Matrimony is a wonderful occasion in the life of a man and woman. To insure the sacredness of the wedding ceremony and encourage the richness of this blessed union, spiritually inspired guidelines have been instituted at Greater Centennial AME Zion Church.
